Introduction to Italian Breads – book now

The Epsom Bakehouse hands off focaccia

Bring the taste of the Mediterranean into your home! During this hands-on class, you’ll prepare some classic Italian breads, so come prepared to get your hands into lots of sticky dough. You’ll leave with the confidence to make and bake a range of great tasting loaves at home, plus armfuls of fresh-baked bread to enjoy with family and friends.

What will you make during the class?

You will make a simple basil and tomato-topped focaccia and learn the secrets to an airy ciabatta. You’ll learn techniques to help you handle and knead wetter yeasted doughs and learn to prove and shape in both a tin and freehand. In addition, you will mix, shape and decorate crunchy grissini, the Italian bread sticks. You’ll take home all these breads to enjoy at home. We will also bake some rolls to enjoy with lunch on the day.

Where are classes held?

Classes are usually held in central Epsom, with parking on site and close to public transport links.

How much is the class?

The class is £85 per person. A light lunch is included on the day.

Will you need to bring anything?
